	Truffle fans flock to the local area as the forest below Motovun and the surrounding Mirna River Valley is rich with black and white truffles. The white Istrian truffle is one of the most highly appraised truffle species in the world and Italians travel across the border to dine at restaurants specialising in local truffle dishes.			Museums, galleries and historical sites such as the Roman amphitheater in Pula and the Euphrasian basilica in Poreč offer plenty of local culture and interest to visitors.
	Wine tasting can be arranged at a number of vineyards such as the award–winning Bienvenuti in nearby Kaldir.			Hiking, biking and horseback riding provides visitors the opportunity to explore the natural splendor of the region.
	Family-owned Ipša olive oil producers are just ten minutes from Villa Angelo and are responsible for developing the first Croatian variety to be listed in the authoritative Flos Ole Italian guidebook to olive oils.			Agrotourism is very popular and there are a number of nearby farms catering to visitors.
	Take in the rugged beauty of the coastline by car or boat. The crystal clear waters of the Adriatic and dramatic rock and sand beaches are popular with locals and visitors alike. The nearest beach is only 20 minutes from the villa or swim in the fresh waters of the secluded Mirna River only 5 minutes away. Festivals, fairs and markets take place across the region and throughout the year. In addition to the Motovun Film Festival there is the award-winning annual jazz festival in Grožnjan, truffle festivals in both Motovun and Buzet and daily local markets in Rovinj and Poreč.
